I'm new to Portland and I do software development. It would be great
to organize other tech lunch. Is there anybody up to it?
love,
gaba
Hi Gaba,
Welcome to Portland! I haven't seen a geekchix lunch announcement in a while. Dawn Foster has usually organized the lunches, but she's been pretty busy lately.
You are welcome to come to Code N Splode, which is an all-women coder's group. We meet once a month on Tuesdays.

As Sarah mentioned, I've been pretty busy lately and haven't organized
a geekchix lunch in ages :)
When Gaba contacted me asking about this group, I happily handed the
reins over to her to see if she could get something going again. I'd
also love to attend - I just don't have the bandwidth to organize it.
While we're mentioning other cool get togethers for women, I should
mention #boozetues. It's held on occasional Tuesdays and is women
only. The best way to find out about it is to monitor #boozetues on
Twitter and some of them are posted here: boozetues.wordpress.com
Regards,
Dawn
Mondays are out for me, but I'm working from home on Wednesdays most weeks. Any other day is hit or miss.
Looking forward to the re-start of geekchix lunches!

Collective Agency might be a possibility for this. If you're still
interested in doing lunch time tech talks, let me know.
Also keep in mind that we do technical talks at Code n Splode, a local
user group for women in technology. We meet on the 4th Tuesday of the
month at 7pm. Due to the holidays, the next meeting is 1/24:

I run the group, so feel free to ping me with any questions.

I'm hoping I can make this! I'll be working downtown anyway, so fingers crossed I can squeeze in some quality lunch time.

I'm here now - and they say there's no reservation, back table's full.
