Updates and thoughts.

So back in the day this place was created as a place where people were able to curse and be vulgar. Basically free from some of the more ridiculous restrictions of the Yahoo group (do people even still post there? I haven't checked in on that place in months. last time I looked some guy's account got hacked and was freely posting to the group?)

Now there's the Facebook group(s?) where people can post whatever they want within reasons. They're a bit less clunky than what Google Groups has turned into.

There's reeeeeeally not too much use for this group due to lack of mod interest (one has sporadic internet access and the other two are busy work work/school/non-furry stuff) and lack of population interest...but it still seems like a shame to let the group completely die. 

If anybody has any ideas as to how to get things shaken up, then feel free to throw me a suggest. I'm not really trying to compete with the Facebook groups, I just know there is a small group looking for an alternative and complete social media-phobes.

Plus this could be a smaller, more intimate space with less image memes and youtube links.

In case there are any responses to this, please no comments about how the Facebook group is better and everybody should migrate over there. I use them, I'm a member of them, heck I even enjoy them! But this is a conversation about improving activity over here.

Anyway, tl;dr for something that will likely go nowhere. Later bye. :3

Hey,

I'm still here and I do still keep a paw on this group. So nyah. I do think it would be awesome if we could get some activity going on this group again. Maybe we could retake over the Roxy (or somewhere else if anyone has any suggestions). I'd still like to keep the social meets as a sit-down-and-share-a-meal-and-socialize kind of thing so keep that in mind. Anyways, other than that, go nuts and let me know what y'all come up with.

Wow. I'm surprised to see people posting in here! I never really did much talking in this group, but I often read what other people said. I tend to lurk. But hmm... I could use some people to hang out with. I'd be down for some kind of thing like this. Maybe I should go check out the Facebook group thing, too?

There are several formats, and no need to stick to just one. I like to view each of them, because each of them offers different types of experiences. I fully support making the google list more active, as I support everyone checking out the different mediums and picking the one (or ones) that work for you!
