Greetings, space cadets! Sooo, turns out I’m back in that saddle again to help plan CFT, and I am SO thrilled to be back! Is it just me, or is Oregon a little warmer than usual this winter? In March my mind is already drifting towards August, and this lovely sunshine only makes me miss it more! Needless to say, the staff core of CFT got thawed out early this year, shook off the beetles and snow, and got started planning out what will no doubt be our most badass year of Campfire Tails on record!
For those new to the party, welcome! Campfire Tails is an event founded by Eugene furries to provide a great big sandbox for furs to express themselves creatively outdoors out in the Deschutes National Forest, near LaPine! We've since evolved like an eevee to represent all communities in our kickass state!
What is Campfire Tails?
Swim and rest by day, glow an adventure by starlight! An adventure in night skies above and furries below! The most amazing camping experience ever!
When?
July 30th - August 3rd
Four of your Earth days...
Where?
Deschutes National Forest near La Pine, Oregon
Why?
Camp under the stars and explore the woods with furs from all over the west coast ...and beyond!
This year, scientists found that the West Coast of North America was severely deficient in fwooshes and zooms, so an experiment in trebuchets and fishbowls culminates in the Campfire Tails space program! Trust me, it makes sense...
This year's theme is in regards to Outer Space and the thing we love the most about it! That's right, I'm talking about SATURN! And there is no better way to talk about saturn than to talk about all of our favorite things about the planets that maybe you didn't know. As the first act of the Campfire Tails space program, I present you with our Planet of the Month!
Planet of the Month

Our planet of the month is Titan, a moon of Saturn.

Titan is a planet that is all yellow and fuzzy. It has an atmosphere that is primarily nitrogen, and the oceans are soda pop. It is named Titan because it is where titans live. The titans are a race of giants that almost ate Germany in an attack and mankind was saved by Erin Jaeger. A statue to his legacy can be found on Skinner’s Butte, pointing into the skies directly at Saturn accusingly. It knows what it did.
P.S. By the way, our new website launched, and registration opens near the end of next month! http://campfiretails.org/2015
