Bad news, I just found out that Roots Brewing closed -- http://blog.oregonlive.com/thebeerhere/2010/07/craig_nicholls_closes_the_door.html

This means that at least these groups need to find new homes (I've BCC'ed their leaders):
* pdxfunc (Portland Functional Study Group)
* pdxsemweb (Portland Semantic Web)
* PLUG-AT (Portland Linux/Unix Group, Advanced Topics)
* Personal Telco

Any suggestions on where to relocate to? The basic requirements for pdxfunc are: has wifi, is within three miles of Downtown -- preferably near transit, has enough chairs and space to accommodate 40 people, is quiet enough that people can hear each other, has scheduling to guarantee availability of the space and chairs and quiet, provides a sensible way for people to get into the venue during meeting hours. I'm fine with paying to use the space.

Haven't we had meetings in some room at the Lucky Lab?

That room costs $100, is less than ideally setup, and imho Lucky Lab
doesn't have that good of beer.
