It's an art show for the works showcased at foreverscape.com, a 300+ page continuous landscape of major mindfuckery. Sad Music for Happy Humans, Gemini Mars and Let's Go Outside all play, it's free, all ages, there is beer/wine/food... see event page for more details.
NOW, you say MIDI controllers for ten bucks? That's right! Well, I got one anyway, and if you keep your eyes open, you can too (or even cheaper, sometimes people give them away). Keep an eye out for the Edirol PCR model of MIDI controllers, and specifically for folks selling ones because one, a few or all the keys don't work (I got one with zero working keys, though the knobs and sliders worked).
Go to your local hardware store and buy a bottle of graphite lubricant (costs 4$), open it up, paint onto the key contacts and VOILA, you have a fully functioning keyboard out of what was a semi or non functioning one.
I will be posting full instructions and photo documention soon on
www.happyhumans.org and on the Sad Music for Happy Humans facebook page (just search it).
Happy holidays and yadda yadda.
