Group Information

We have a 35-40 minute meditation - guided or silent depending on the pulse of the group each week. We then have a Dhamma talk or reading and discussion. There is also time to share/discuss practice stuff or other desired topics.

Hey everyone,

Such a lovely discussion last week-this week we will be discussing "freedom" or liberation-more in a day to day context rather than "ultimate" nibbana. We will talk a bit about Timothy Snider's book On Freedom, and its concepts and how they intersect with Dhamma. Looking forward to us discussing this together. I encourage folks to participate in the walk this Saturday for Buddhist Global Relief, from 10-1230, starting at Portland Friends of the Dhamma-see more information below. Lastly, I am looking into transferring this Google group to a more secure platform in the new year-if anyone has anything they have used recently, I would be open to ideas (I have a few ideas of my own, but would love to hear others)! You may just respond to this email.

I created a form that people can use any time to offer feedback for the group, and propose topics if you don't feel like doing so during the group. That form is here. I will just leave it open for the foreseeable future.
