Thanks again for everyone that made it tonight, I had a great time
thanks for everything.

On with the meeting notes, if there is anything missing or that I have
incorrect please feel free to correct away.

- who is here:
non-twitters: benD, igal,
twitters: @reidab, @notbenh, @staceyanderson, @tingey, @betsywhim,
@caseorganic, @bram, @rebekahgolden

- Icebreaker: favorite party question.
-- caseorganic makes the claim that she can recite 89 digits of pi.

[betsywhim on feedback on WordCampDX] http://www.wordcampportland.org/
- known issues:
-- way too long (no specific tasks)
-- split by topic
what planning happened:
- lots of research on past wordcamp's
- automatic did not help at first
-- is was not until there was critical mass before they sent reps.
- there was lots of local backlash from the pdx community about the
non-free-ness of the event.
-- there was a possible idea of a repeating session.
-- it would help with the crowding issue
-- a possible 'flex' track where popular sessions
--- could lead to a logistical problem
issues:
- too diverse of a group
-- who is this really for?
- it's possible that cubespace is just too small for the number of people
-- there are a few possible solutions.
- cost ($10)
-- more could help limit the audience to those who care
-- at $10 your really just getting a bunch of food, so it was really a
good deal even if you were not interested in wordpress.
-- idea: ebay last set of tickets.
-- or bring in special things to 'buy your way in'

[caligator reid and igal] http://calagator.org/
- what? local calendar for events
- issues:
-- date/time input is not obvious
--- googlecal
--- upcoming
--- prefill in text areas
-- is natural language a good idea
--- not really as there is not a good learning structure
- booklet seems hidden
-- use a favicon
-- link does not seem to be the best solution
-- break things out to there

[[quickcrit]]
[WhereCampPDX by reid] http://www.wherecamppdx.org/
-- lovely old map look
-- issues with color weights
-- live group editing
[[crit, where to go from here by stacey]]
- there's nothing to 'sell' (ie you will love, come, we swear)
-- show past events, it's kinda selling how cool
-- show screen shots
-- take more pictures (like the whiteboard)
- other ideas
-- pick one person in advance to talk about something that they like
-- 5minute enthusiast
--- presenters area already there
--- it's already going to be something cool
-- sell that you learn things
- how else do you expect from us via promotes
-- twitter
--- use for interesting things that are relevant to the group
--- jump in and listen
---- reply to interesting topics
- list all sorts of interesting books and/or sites that came up
-- There was something about forms

[after party @ Side Door]
-- conversation about drupal vs wordpress
-- met a guy who posts on http://suddenly.org/
