Is someone on this list a NedSpace member, or know someone that is who
wouldn't mind staying at the office a bit later to supervise the
meetings? If so, please reply because you can help get this group's
meetings going again.

NedSpace Old Town has begun hosting community events, but only if a
member is on-site to keep an eye on things, let people in and lock up
afterwards.

Please respond if you can help or know someone that can. Thanks!

I'm a NedSpace member. I don't know the details of getting access to Old Town, because it has keycards and I don't have one, but I'd happily chaperone meetings downtown.

Reid,

Thanks! My understanding is that you can use the same card at different
locations, although you may want to check or ask about that. Markus
Roberts, who set things up for pdxfunc, said that he just talked with
Josh about this, got his okay and just lets people in, and meanwhile
I've been scheduling the space at least a week in advance through their
magical dotcal internal calendar.

Reid,
Can you speak with someone there about hosting us. I had spoken with someone a while back and they said they would love to as long as someone in the group is a NedSpace member.

Much love.

The thing is… NedSpace downtown doesn't use cards— only keycodes.
I'll talk to Josh the next time I see him to find out if I can get access.

We could probably meet at the other location, no reason this has to be the Old Town one.

Reid,

Thanks, much appreciated.

Also, ask if we can use other bits of NedSpace.

I suggested Old Town because that's what I've been allowed to use for
pdxfunc and have successfully used it to fit a couple dozen seated people.

The Downtown location's largest meeting room that I saw could fit maybe
8 seated people, but I heard rumors that there's a large underused space
somewhere -- can you see what the rules for using that are?

I'm unsure about that because the NedSpace Downtown venue's biggest
meeting room can hold ~8 seated folks with computers, which is kinda
small. In contrast, I've successfully had events with dozens of people
at the Old Town venue, which eliminates a lot of concern about whether
we'll be able to fit.

There may be another larger room at Downtown, but it's in a weird
location and difficult to get at.

Reid said he'll investigate and report back.
