Hey everyone - 

We're looking to expand our Cloud team here at Elemental Technologies. The full description for the position is here:

Rather than repeat the description, I'd like to talk about what we do. Elemental builds video transcoding software, which is written in C and C++. To manage the video work, we use Ruby and Rails, and above that we have cluster management software, also written in Ruby. All of this was originally designed to run on hardware, and it's been the job of the Cloud Team to make it work in cloud-based deployments. We have a different layer that we call our "Cloud Platform" (composed of Rails, Ruby, and "other") that configures and launches these virtual clusters running our transcoding software. In the near future, we'll be working with partners to integrate other components in the pipeline into our platform as well (something I'm pretty excited about).

Ruby is a big must-have for this position, and of course JS and CSS on the UI side of things is always great. Any experience with cloud services is helpful as well, but someone with a deep web/ruby/SOA background with no cloud experience but looking to learn would of course be welcome to apply.
