October PBC Meeting This Thursday + Stout Bout Update!

Hi All,

I get to be Cory this month, as he is still recovering from a wild time at GABF. Here goes!

Happy Autumn, everyone! With the turn toward cooler, wetter, more Portlandy weather, we're headed back inside this month until next summer. Threshold Brewing has again graciously extended their offer of hosting us back in their brewery, and we're happy to accept!

Please join us this Thursday, October 16th @ 6:30pm at Threshold Brewing!

On the docket for discussion: Stout Bout! Questions to ask ourselves and each other: should we keep hosting Stout Bout? Or should we step it up as a club and replace it with a larger, all-entry competition? Or should we continue hosting Stout Bout AND start an all-entry competition elsewhere during the year? Let's discuss at this meeting!

If we do want to continue doing Stout Bout, or really any competition this coming March, planning needs to start now-ish! We will need volunteers for:

Cellar Master

Publicity/Advertisement

Remote location pickup

Medals

And, if we really want to go all-out:

Raffle/prize coordinator

Beer Exhibition Coordinator

Looking forward to the discussion, and sharing beers! (Please bring at least 32oz of each!)
