Hi Northbank friends!

Just an update on the events so far for Northbank Beer Week! Please reach out if you have an event not yet listed!

Our premier sponsor this year is No Shave November and Fight Colorectal Cancer. There will be a few ways to support them throughout the week! One way is to create a team for your brewery and raise funds with one of our brewery crew’s beards on the line! In other words, “Help us raise $1000 for Fight CRC and we’ll shave Bryan’s beard at Final Draft to closeout Northbank Beer Week!” You’ll likely hear more on this from a NBBA Board Member or representative soon!

I’m very excited for the mostly-non-industry group of beer fans who have formed this year’s committee: Geoff Kunkle, Rock Schock, Ellen Smart, Cory Meisch, Tarn Allen, Gordon Brown, Jenny Mann, Xac Denton, Kellie Mendenhall, & Kristi Kaneshi.

Trap Door Brewing’s 10th Anniversary at Trap Door in Uptown Vancouver

Saturday, November 8 4pm-8pm
The Battle of the Guilds at Brothers Cascadia in Hazel Dell
Breweries from the Northbank Brewers Guild compete against the Washington Brewers Guild and the Oregon Brewers Guild in a blind tasting of 3 styles. Limited tickets.

Sunday, November 9 10:15am
Yoga + Beer at Recluse Brew Werks in Washougal
Yuliya Bohan hosts a morning of stretching, ohming and imbibing. Bring your mat and roll it out in a quiet brewery. First post-yoga pint is included with entry.

Sunday, November 9 12pm-3pm
10th Annual Brewers Cornhole Tournament at Trap Door Brewery + Kitchen in Washougal
Show up early to be paired with a local brewery to compete for fame and fortune in double elimination Cornhole action! Pizza and salad provided for participants.

Monday, November 10 6pm-9pm
Puppers & Pints at Vice Beer in East Vancouver
A special dog event, beer release and silent auction for Old Dog Haven. Bring your pooch for beers and fun for a great cause!

Tuesday, November 11 6pm-8pm
Paper Airplane Races at Victor-23 Brewery
Create a paper airplane and “DUCK!” as they race around the taproom. All ages event!

Wednesday, November 12 6pm-9pm
The Clone Wars: The Battle for the Colin at Vice Beer in East Vancouver.
7 Northbank Breweries have paired up with 7 homebrewers for a competition to benefit Fight Colorectal Cancer (a No Shave November event)! Top overall homebrew and Top Clone Pair will be awarded by the public!

Thursday, November 13 5pm-9pm
Ice Cream Beer Floats at Pour Choices Pub
Loowit Brewing hosts a delicious night of stouts over ice cream!

Thursday, November 13 6pm-10pm
Beer Beyond The Baricades at Brewed Cafe, The Grocery, Foxhole Den, El Coyote, Breakside and A Little Vice
A pub crawl to support our beer-loving friends in the lower blocks of downtown who have been terribly impacted by the ongoing construction project.

Friday, November 14 5pm-9pm
The 8th Annual Beer Can Derby Races at The Sipp in Hazel Dell
Buy a can of beer. Drink it. Turn that can into a race car with the provided tools, tape, weights, wheels and axles! Race for gift cards and prizes!

Friday & Saturday November 14 & 15
World’s Smallest Lager Fest at A Little Vice in downtown Vancouver.
No entry fee. Just $5 lagers all day from world-class lager makers like Cloudburst, Gold Dot, Heater Allen, Recluse, Grains of Wrath, Formula, Irrelevant and more!

Saturday November 15 5pm-9pm
Emo Night 3 at Victor-23 Brewery
It was never just a phase, mom. Put on your favorite Emo band shirt or wear black and join us for a night of deep lyrics about how hard it is to be a teenager in the early 2000s.

WA Beer Awards Celebration and Northbank Beer Week closing ceremonies at Final Draft Taphouse
Just a couple weeks after WA Beer Awards are announced in Seattle, we’ll celebrate with all of the SW WA award winners in the house and on tap! We’ll also celebrate the big wins for Northbank Beer Week and our partnership with No Shave November!
