hey everyone,

who wants to go camping labor day weekend?  we are planning on going to Indian Heaven, south of Mt. Adams.  that's where the huckleberries are!  they don't have any reservable sites left (nowhere does), but they do have a bunch of first come, first served sites.  we have been told that it is pretty easy to get one of these sites if you leave friday morning (as opposed to after work).  so that's our plan.

it would be great to have some friends along!  let me know if you're interested and we can plan details.

We'd love to, but I think that would be a bit ambitious.  Have a great time!

Sounds fun- I love Mount Adams! Unfortunately we have a wedding weekend at the beach this year so won't be able to join. Shea and I camped at Indian heaven for Labor Day several years ago and I remember picking a ton of huckleberries. If that area is full, another really pretty spot that often isn't crowded is Bird Lake (also called Bird Creek Meadows). There's a really amazing day hike from the campground that gets you up on the mountain and the lake is great for fishing and a quick dip (it's cold!) Anyway, have a great time!
