My Shadow won't start with the electric starter when it's hot.
Doesn't seem to be related to the cranking speed.
Push it 1mph and it kicks right off. Also starts right up when cold.
Sorta sounds like a carburation problem.
Ran into(rather discussed with) another person with the same problem.
Seems that high mileage Shadows start getting finicky when hot.
Let us know what you find out.
In your case, first thing I'd try is to oil the choke cable and make
sure it's releasing all the way. Make sure the choke cable dealies
are securely screwed into the carb, cables not kinked etc.
Oh, I once had a similar rough when hot problem that was due to a bad
ignition coil. They mount 'em right behind the radiator. When it gets
hot enough to open the thermostat, it blasts hot air right on the coils.
