I have a DVD with non copyrighted material (family movie
type stuff) on it.

I need to get the DVD dplicated or some relatives.

AFIK, there is no copy protection on it.

Is there a service in the PDX area which can make a few duplicates for me?

I don't have nor do I want to buy a DVD/CD burner.

TIA.

Shoot, the standalones can be had cheaply and they're not hard. You
can get a burner cheap too and Nero is excellent. Why not? It's a Plug
and Play device and then you install the program--2-3 clicks and
you're ready.

I have friends that tell me they don't want to go on the web and I
make sure it will because in a short time they will.

PS you don't want to be able to back up your drives and be able to
reinstall your OS and files as they were after a failure?

Give Walgreens a call. If they don't do it, try any of the photo/camera
shops. Most of them now have some sort of duplication facility.

Found a nice stand alone place called CascadeMedia on SE McLoughlin
in Milwaukie, about 2 blocks south of the Bomber.

10 minutes, five bucks, two copies and a very pleasant chat with the
folks who un he place.
They have a great dog.

Thats what tape drives are for. Every am at 03:30.

Tape is reusable. CD isn't.

Like I said, I don't want a CD/DVD burner.

When you ask a question and eliminate the best long-term option right off
the bat, someone's bound to point it out anyway. That's Usenet.

Even better: External hard drive of gargantuan capacity.
