Hi,
I've wanted to improve my skills with material design. So, I've been making a Calagator client android app following material design principals. I'm going to put the code for the app under an OSI approved license, it will be free, has no ads, and only requires network permissions. My goal is to keep the client simple and light and meet a minimum feature set of:
- List events in a timeline
- Search events by query or tag
- Select an event to see event details
- Spawn an intent to add an event to a user's calendar
As of right now I'm about 80% done, and I'm hoping to have it cleaned up and on github this weekend. I have a few questions I was hoping you could all help with:
- Is it all right if I use the name "Calagator" or "Calagator for Android"?
- Are there any official open licensed image assets I should use?
- Is there an OSI approved license that would best allow this app to jive with the core project? (I prefer copy-left licenses, but permissive licenses are fine too)
- Would you be available to beta test the app?
- I reverse engineered the json API for Calagator in this project in order to use retrofit. I would love to meet with a ruby dev to verify my notes are correct on the API, put together some sort of documentation for it, and maybe even expand the API for new features.
Thanks for working on such a cool project. I hope my app is a positive contribution.
Sincerely,
Briar Rose Schreiber
