PRA is looking for a Psychologist who is passionate about Pain and Traumatic Brain Injury! This position is blended between our Portland and Vancouver locations. If you’ve ever wanted to be part of a dynamic interdisciplinary team, now is your chance!
I have been with PRA for 7 years, and love it. We have an intensive day treatment program for people who have long term pain or TBI, which means we often get to work with people for 6 hours a day, 5 days a week. This offers incredible opportunity for contact. I also love the collaboration between our team members. Often psych and PT are setting up systematic desensitization protocols together, or psych and biofeedback are collaborating on a trauma response. We are also not confined to the office – we take our clients to the beach, rock climbing, bicycling – whatever it is that they are passionate about getting back to, we try to find a way to support them in that process. As part of the team, you get to be part of this community reintegration process. This position also offers the unique opportunity to spend time at Peace Health Medical Center in a consulting role for more generalized mental health concerns.
