Community Survey Results!

Hi all,

Thanks to those of you who filled out the PDX OSGEO community survey over the last few weeks! I will not be able to join this week's meeting (Wednesday, Oct 15th - 6:30 at the Pearl District Hotlips I believe) to present these, so here are some of the key takeaways.

Disclaimer: we will be engaging in the process of building an organizing committee in the VERY near future. I will be connecting those that showed interest and trying to get a planning session set up. Because of this, the results of this survey are intended to inform that committee's decisions, but not make them for them.

For example, here are the results of the 'best days to meet' question:

2nd Wednesday won by a nose over 4th Wednesday, but due to how close they were, there may be factors the committee might consider choosing either.

I assume that we will move away from 3rd Wednesdays, but that will be communicated on both the mailing list and the websites when it happens.
