Just wanted to let folks now about this third-party plugin called Arc2Earth. A former Esri engineer has been working on it and it enables things like connecting ArcGIS to TileMill. We setup a page on it:

Very cool, thanks Justin. We've been using Arc2Earth for a number of years at Ecotrust. Not cheap or open source but a solid product. If you or your client need ESRI cartography and ArcServer is letting you down, Arc2Earth is great for exporting directly to various map tile formats or vector KML for use by your mapping tools. You can publish them directly to Amazon S3 or now directly to Mapbox it sounds like.
