Draft Equity & Inclusion Statement Up For Discussion

Hi all,

Last year I shared a draft Equity and Inclusion statement to start a conversation around building a welcoming environment where we could include as many voices and bodies as possible.

I'd like to get an Equity and Inclusion statement published on our homepage and request that building consensus around both the language and the publication be considered for an action item for our February meeting. I have submitted a pull request to the repository. 

In the meantime, I request that any members with time and interest please check out this preview and either come to the meeting with ideas and suggestions (language, content, and/or style), or share them with this list in the meantime.

Looks great, Ryan. Thanks for putting this together and great timing for this day of action! I'll try and leave my notes inline in the PR but it will be a good point of discussion next meeting. Speaking of which -- any new speakers on the list we're thinking of?
