Job Title: Business Systems Analyst – OSS (Operations Support Systems)
Location: Middletown, NJ
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with hands-on experience in OSS (Operations Support Systems) to bridge business needs and technical solutions within telecom or network-driven environments. The ideal candidate will work closely with stakeholders, product teams, and development teams to analyze, design, and implement OSS solutions that improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements for OSS applications.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technical teams to define functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business requirements into detailed system specifications, use cases, and user stories.
- Support OSS domains such as Service Provisioning, Fault Management, Network Inventory, and Performance Management.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend process improvements and system enhancements.
- Participate in system integration activities across OSS/BSS ecosystems.
- Assist in UAT (User Acceptance Testing), test case preparation, and defect resolution.
- Ensure data accuracy, system integrity, and compliance with telecom standards.
- Work with APIs, data flows, and system integrations between OSS and other enterprise systems.
- Provide production support and troubleshoot system issues when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst, preferably in telecom or networking domain.
- Strong understanding of OSS architecture and components.
- Experience with telecom frameworks like eTOM, TM Forum, or SID models.
- Hands-on experience in requirements gathering, BRD/FRD documentation, and process mapping.
- Knowledge of system integration, APIs (REST/SOAP), and data modeling.
- Familiarity with tools like JIRA, Confluence, Visio, or similar.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in Agile/Scrum environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with OSS tools/platforms (e.g., NetCracker, Amdocs, Ericsson OSS, Nokia OSS).
- Basic knowledge of SQL and data analysis.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
- Telecom domain certifications or TM Forum certifications are advantageous.
