SCBN is now accepting applications for
next year's Board and Staff positions.
Position Descriptions:
Board-the SCBN Board is responsible for running SCBN as a registered Volunteer Student Organization and broadcast media club. Board members decide business strategy and programming for the year. (Note: Board members' primary function is NOT to make shows. If that's your interest, consider contacting us about being a Show Producer.)
1. Talent Manager: hire and manage actors, talk show hosts, and reporters. Help producers find the right talent for their program.
2. Marketing Director: publicize SCBN's Events and Programs through email, social media, and other tactics. Work with other student groups to help them publicize or advertise through SCBN.
3. Webmaster: maintain and develop SCBN's website and Local Area Network.
4. Programming Manager: work with Show Producers to support their shows through every step of production, from pre-production through editing. Serve as the liaison between the Board and the producers.
5. Social Chair: Plan and organize the station's social events, from weekly meetings to screenings and campus-wide events. Looking for someone fun, creative, and proactive!
6. Head Producer for Campus Events: produce videos that document events on campus, including concerts, conferences, performances, and notable speakers. Responsible for planning and researching event shoots, then assigning videographers and editors to complete the projects.
7. Graphic Design Intern: work with SCBN's Head Designer to create motion graphics and animation for the station. Some knowledge of Photoshop, After Effects, or Motion preferred.
8. Financial Officer Intern: work with SCBN's Financial Officer (FO) to handle business aspects of the station, including reimbursements, staff payments, and financial strategy. Strong interest in Business required.
