I'm looking for a programmer that can help me (paid $$$ help) with an
integration situation.

I wrote a an application (restaurant POS system) in the 4th Dimension
programming language. It does credit card processing by SSL connection
from 4D to an internet gateway (authorize.net) and passing to the
gateway, credit card data contained in variables. Gateway processes
the authorization and passes back auth codes which are then parsed and
handled in the POS system to effectuate a restaurant credit card
transaction.

This all works, but this gateway can't process standard credit card
transactions in that it doesn't allow for adjustment of a prior
authorization for tip without causing two authorizations to appear on
the cardholder's statement (the actual valid charge, and the "pending"
pre-authorization). The preauth stays on the statement for 1-30 days
and then drops off if the funds are not captured, however, it causes
the cardholder to think they've been double-charged (even though they
haven't).

Therefore, we need to switch to a different online payment gateway
that will allow for an authorization to be adjusted for tip without
causing two authorizations to appear on cardholder's statement.

We found one that does this (www.plugnpay.com) and they have numerous
API's that can be implemented (.net, php, coldfusion, perl, ruby on
rails, jave, winhttp), which are located here:

I do 4D code, but none of these others. I need somebody familiar with
4D AND one of the languages located on the above page, such that the
(ALREADY WRITTEN) API can be integrated into the 4D code, or called by
it, or whatever, with the end result being that a secure connection
gets made from the 4D database to plugnpay, via the API, and credit
card vars are sent to plugnpay for the authorization.

The situation involves how 4D communicates with the API.

If you ABSOLUTELY KNOW that you can do this, please contact me, Sam
Burnell, at (909) 337-9358, or via email (sambu...@verizon.net)
asap.
