Hi Anish,

1. Which document and on which page number is this slow loading occurring?  Which devices does this occur on?

2. Which Android device and with which Android version do you see the issue?  Does this occur on every page or just some?

Hi David,

I'm not quite sure what you mean by 1.7.1 losing the ability to pinch zoom.  There hasn't been any change to this functionality for that version and I just tried downloading WebViewer from pdftron.com and pinch zoom seems to work fine when running that viewer.  Can you be more specific about what doesn't work?  Can you reproduce the issue from our showcase?

Dear Matt,

I use firefox on my android 4.2.1 and has some problem of trying to pinch to zoom. If i double to tap zoom and unable to further zoom in by pinch,
But I do not have any issue with chrome.

I also experience the jerking problem as reported by Anish Jain.

Thanks.
David

Hi David,

Did this work in versions before 1.7.1? I'm having trouble reproducing this issue but from my tests of some documents comparing performance in Chrome and Firefox on the same Android device Chrome performed much better.

One possibility for why the slow loading or jerking problem is occurring is because of the conversion options when converting the PDF to XOD. What version of PDFNet or DocPub are you using to convert? Newer versions have changed the default conversion options to generate XOD files that are more mobile friendly.

Hi Matt,

I am using docpub ver 6.1121853 to convert my pdf 42mb (--norender --max_image_pixel 180000 --element_limit 60000 --op off).
Prior to 1.71, the 1.7.0 it is functionally in firefox whereas chrome crashes more often.
So far I did not detect any error message (in debug) in 1.7.1 but it take up lot of memory.

David

Hi David,

Is there a reason why you're using those specific options? Can you send me the document (XOD and PDF) so I can take a look and try out different conversion options. If you'd rather not post them here then you can email them to mpar...@pdftron.com.
