What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Render the attached pdf with pdfium_test.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Glyphs should be black on the interior, but parts of the glyphs are white and parts of the background are black.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
pdfium_test built from master branch downloaded on Jan. 8, 2018.
Visual Studio 2017 community
Windows 8.1 64bit

Please provide any additional information below.
Rips fine in chrome browser on Windows 8.1.
I changed the font to helvetica on the name Kevin at the beginning of the second paragraph. That rips ok. Other fonts in the document are correct, but the main text font, Melior, is not. The problem occurs throughout the entire 300 pages of the document, starting from the first use of the Melior font.

Thanks for reporting this. Sadly we did not look at it in a timely manner. Closing because I believe this bug has been dealt with.

This was due to the FreeType roll: https://pdfium-review.googlesource.com/15370

This also manifested as https://crbug.com/810166, so this was fixed a while ago. Had we looked at this ~3 weeks before https://crbug.com/810166, we may have been able to avoid it.
