Simple HTML option?

For reading on an electronic device, flowed format is usually preferable to fixed format.  I imagine a "simple HTML" option where fixed format is converted to flowed and there are no embedded fonts.  Any merit in this?

I think the poppler (a dependency of pdf2htmlEX) can do this already. I think the command is just pdftohtml
