I read about this in my local paper and thought this re-skilling opportunity might be of interest to past and current students:

 

Want to develop useful skills, while making a significant contribution to the future of Van Cortlandt Park?

 

The Friends, in partnership with the NY-NJ Trail Conference, is forming a Trail Restoration Crew.  Crew members will attend workshops with trails professionals, developing skills in stone working and trail construction.

 

Meet at Van Cortlandt Park, a the Friends Compost Site on Saturday, March 5, from 10AM to 1PM and the first Saturday in April , May and June from 10AM to 3PM.  Prior registration is required.  For more information call 718-601-1460.
