PDC 2022: Markus Gross Memorial and Abstract Deadline Approaching

Dear friends:

With deepest regret we must bring the news that Markus Sebastian Gross, a leader in the science of Physics-Dynamics coupling and founder of our Physics-Dynamics Coupling workshop series, passed away last month following a household accident. He was only 47 years old and just entering the prime of his career. His passing is a great loss to his family and friends and to our community.

The PDC Workshop committee is committed to carrying on Markus's legacy and dedicated service to the modeling community. He was looking forward to the next PDC workshop, especially after two postponements due to the pandemic, and continued to work on its promotion and organization until just a few weeks ago. We plan to dedicate this June's PDC workshop to his memory, with a keynote talk dedicated to his honor.
