POSITION SUMMARY:
Seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the design and development of next generation
thermoelectric chillers. Requires a minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience conducting advanced
thermal and mechanical analyses to include: basic stress/load calculations, convection/conduction
hand calculations, and high degree of proficiency applied numerical methods CFD, VOF, FEM.
Familiarity with CAE tool: Fluent, Mechanical and/or IDEAS is highly desired, as is a experience
developing empirical testing to support model calibration and correlation efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Collaborate with other engineering of other disciplines and project management to define and create
compelling next generation products. Provide timely and accurate analysis of the "mechanical
phenomena" embodied in emerging design concepts, to include analyses of: creep, hyperelasticity,
stress, load/displacement, conduction, convection, fluid pressure, fluid velocity, impeller
efficiency.

* Must be personable and able to interface on a professional level with a wide variety of technical
disciplines. Assists design engineers with professional opinions, reference materials, testing
methods, etc for all new product development
* Background in applied numerical methods; strong fundamental understanding of the finite element
and finite difference methods applied to analysis of fluid and structure behavior.
* Demonstrated base of experience with mid and low volume manufacturing methods and technologies
(injection plastic molding, plastic welding, extrusion, stamping, milling, etc.).
* Experience defining, developing, directing and conduction empirical testing, have developed test
fixtures, specified instrumentation and data acquisition for a wide variety of "mechanical
phenomena."
