Responsibilities:
The SAP BASIS Systems Engineer will be responsible for the installation,
configuration, and maintenance of SAP systems including monitoring systems
performance and applying service packs and release level upgrades as a
seasoned senior professional. This person will be responsible for the
availability and performance of these systems and will provide internal users
with a stable, secure and recoverable environment for various SAP
applications. Install and assist with the installation of software required
for the SAP application to function. Research and recommend software products
to assist with the management and availability of SAP systems. Work with
other IT groups to interface SAP systems as required to the existing
infrastructure and network and analyze proposed changes to SAP technical
configuration settings to optimize overall performance
Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of SAP BASIS and related software applications and
hardware solutions required. We are looking for strong experience with SAP
version 4.5B, Experience or certification in any or all disciplines is a
plus. Experience with Oracle 8/8i/9i in an SAP envrionment, SANs, system
backup/recovery, and performance monitoring and tuning.
Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent experience and 3-5 years
of BASIS administration required.
