As an Engineer in Subtransmission Network Analysis, you will perform subtransmission and substation
network analysis and planning for network expansion, as well as execute subtransmission and
substation system studies to support capital budgeting for known growth in assigned area for 0-3
year out period. You will track and document electrical load growth history and future projections
in assigned areas that the company provides T&D services, maintain system base case power flow
models for assigned subtransmission system for short-range planning purposes, and provide liaison
role for neighboring T&D companies that interconnect to the company subtransmission system,
including load-forecast issues. You will be responsible for maintenance of the substation and
subtransmission network and the capital growth plan for assigned area for interfacing with Asset
Planning Capital Plan for Distribution. In addition, you will support network expansion project
approvals by providing clear and understandable purpose & necessity documentation, including
alternatives considered and risk assessment, and perform the role of expert technical assistance for
network capability issues in assigned areas.

Requires a Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related technical degree plus ten years'
experience in network planning. Must have thorough knowledge of T&D engineering principles, solid
understanding of theory and use of economic alternative analysis, and basic knowledge of power
system analysis computations. Requires a working knowledge of computerized power flow simulation
tools and of spreadsheet and word processing tools. Experience with PSS/E software is a plus.
