POSITION SUMMARY:
Drives all elements of new product development- plays a significant role in defining and creating
compelling new products to support the semi-conductor manufacturing industry. Negotiates with
stakeholders to define and document performance specifications. Collaborates with senior management
to define: project scope, resource requirements, acceptable risk, validation testing and schedule
milestones. Leads the development team through technical reviews, design validation and product
launch. Facilitates the interaction between the various disciplines that comprise a development
team, and can apply a basis of technical ability and experience to make balanced program direction
decisions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
* Provide leadership to product development teams.
SKILLS:
* A demonstrated history of innovation in developing new products.
* Minimum of 5 years solid technical, development engineering experience.
* Minimum of 2 years technical program or project management experience in support of new product
development.
* Strong analytical background: skilled in developing, conducting and evaluating a broad variety of
mathematical models, spanning: thermal, fluid, stress, electrical, control and optics behaviors.
* A broad base of experience design and with mid/low volume manufacturing methods and technologies
(injection plastic molding, plastic welding, extrusion, stamping, milling, PCB processing, etc.) and
their associated limitations and cost drivers.
* Conducts tasks in highly organized fashion with a consistent attention to detail. In addition to
well refined oral and written communication skills.
* A background in instrumentation, precision measurement and data acquisition is highly desired.
EDUCATION:
* Master's degree preferred in: Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering, Applied
Mathematics, or Physics.
