A story of the conquest of Mexico by Lew Wallace, the author of Ben
Hur. This is not a first edition (which was published in 1873) but a
fine reprint by Houghton Mifflin's Riverside Press in Cambridge MA.

Wallace, Lew. The Fair God or, The Last of the 'Tzins, A Tale of the
Conquest of Mexico. Boston: Houghton Mifflin. 1888. Olive boards with
black trim and gilt ornamentation, slightly curved, black and gilt
stamping on spine, some bumping and chipping but not excessive and
spine is not heavily damaged. Deep green endpapers. Front board hinged,
but binding is otherwise OK. Text block is clean and bright, no foxing.
Tall 12mo, 586 pages. No DJ.
