Here it is 15 years later and I'm replying about Weiman furniture!! I have a lovely weiman games table of pecan wood. The centre piece is removable with an elegant inlaid pattern on one side and the other side is an inlaid chess board. When the centre piece is taken right off there is a backgammon board which is made of leather inside the table.
I am now in the position where I am moving to a smaller apartment from my house so I have to part with some of my beloved fine antiques. I found your post when I was researching Weiman and thought you might have information about them. I know they were out of New York in the 1930's and 40's but have discontinued making furniture and are now a furniture oil company. I purchased the table at an auction in a magnificent home in the Hollywood Hills in California in 1992.
If you'd like a photo I can email you one and if you have any info about Weiman fine furniture I'd be so appreciative.
Thank you,
Elizabeth
