Dear Community Members,
On behalf of the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) we are excited to invite you to be a part of our most impactful and inspiring event of the year: Lights of Hope.
Lights of Hope is more than just a gathering. It’s a tribute to the strength, resilience, and personal stories of the millions of people whose lives have been impacted by cancer. We aim to set up thousands of Lights of Hope bags along the pond at Constitution Gardens to illuminate the National Mall; each one representing one life supported by a shared voice and hope for change.
We need dedicated volunteers like you to help bring this vision to life. Whether placing bags and lights or guiding participants around the Hope Walk site, your presence will directly support our mission and the individuals we serve.
If you would like to join us on Tuesday, September 16th at Constitution Gardens and be a part of this evening, please sign up using the following link or by scanning the QR code located in the flyer attached to this email. We have multiple shifts throughout the day, and we encourage you to sign up for as many shifts as you would like.
Not able to join us this year? There are other ways to get involved with us and make an impact! Visit fightcancer.org/hope to view more resources to support and donate to ACS CAN Lights of Hope.
Thank you for considering this volunteer opportunity, our Lights of Hope event would not be possible without volunteers like you. Please see the attached flyer for more information, and feel free to reach out with any additional questions you may have.
Sincerely,
Alana Baptiste
PS - Please feel free to bring a friend or two! Simply forward them this email where they can sign up for a shift as well. The more lights, the brighter the impact!
