A Season for Giving to the Environment

For all you environmentally minded people, who are looking for a worthy cause to support, let me encourage you to donate to The Alliance of the Chesapeake Bay.
I have been volunteering with this organization for the past 7 years, joined the Board of Directors in 2019, and was just elected Board Chair.
This non-profit organization has been in existence for over 53 years and focuses on working collaboratively with companies and communities on the land to prevent pollution from entering the waterways of the Chesapeake Watershed. The area covers 64,000 square miles, includes six states (DE, MD, NY, PA, VA, WV) and the District of Columbia, and is the home, workplace, and recreation area to 19 million people, and 3600 different species of plants and animals.
The Alliance has driven results including:
1 million+ Trees planted along local streams and rivers
$10 million Worth of stormwater management practices installed
700 Community scientists learned how to monitor water quality
141 Farms in the Chesapeake Bay watershed supported
