I don't see any way. You get a double arrow but it won't move the bar. I finally had to move to Chrome because FF is a complete mess with java now on streaming aps and I hate how little there is that can be configured on Chrome frankly.

Chrome can be customized, it's just not always obvious how to do it.

Unless I'm mistaken I see 13 extensions here.  If that's correct then the address bar auto-resizes itself, no?  I can say that every time I install an extension it shows up if it's designed to.

Gotcha.  When you first said to move it I clicked on the address bar itself and nothing happened.  Just another "duh" moment on a working Saturday...

Do the extensions have a UI? if they don't, they won't show up.

Is it possible they are showing up in the Chrome Web Store page?  That's my home page (apps like Netflix, Chrome Offline, etc) and I've seen apps show up there if not directly on the toolbar.
Just a thought...

If you know HTML and JavaScript, Chrome is very easy to customize. How skilled are you?

Have you found any tutorials on how it can be customized?  I would move to Chrome full time if so.  And yes, java and flash are completely hosed in Firefox, at least in Linux.  That's why I am force-learning Chrome now.

Another way to customize Chrome would be through the extensions, of which there are many.

I have to agree about Firefox being a mess with Flash and Java and recently have left Firefox for Chrome, and I have been fiercely loyal to FF in the past but streaming applications just became hopeless unless you used really old versions like 11.0 or below.
