I'm surprised at some of the things on this list! I can't imagine bell peppers needing pesticides. I grow these and have never had pest trouble. So things I wouldn't have known about either. I need to do more study too... I have no idea what PCBs are... so much to do and so little time. But we need to do everything we can to protect our bodies.

Maya, me too.  I grow bell peppers every year along with tomatoes, jalapenos if needed, onions, radishes, kohlrabi, and maybe a couple of squash.  I used to make salsa every year but the past few years we have had a terrible pest problem.  First it was voles and then grasshoppers.  I was amazed when the hoppers attacked the onions first and ate them to ground level!  And I did try to control the varmints but not good enough apparently.  No salsa since 2003.  But I always had bell peppers which I cut up and freeze.  I used to think anyone could grow tomatoes but I have had limited and sporadic success in recent years.
I don't do a big garden as I once did as I no longer have the energy to do all that is required.  It is enough for us to have fresh vegetables for as long as they last.  Still miss those canned tomatoes though and all the good stuff one can do with tomatoes.
Sandi
P.S.  I like your sig line!

Wow Sandi... I had no idea anything would eat onions either. Sigh. I've had limited success with tomatoes in recent years too... so have a couple other people I know. I don't have the energy for a real garden anymore either. I haven't gotten around to working a little section along the fence yet... so I'll be sticking to what I can put in pots again this year. I sure love fresh from the garden produce!

That sig tag is one of my favorites too. I have quite a collection, and they are attached randomly. I need to go through and weed out some of them.

Don't hold to anger, hurt or pain. They steal your energy and keep you from love.
