Has anyone seen those commercials for this???? A person offers another something with high fructose corn syrup in it...  and they say... you know what they say about that stuff don't you? The person says what? That it's made from corn and safe in moderation? They sure have come up with a good one don't you think?  Exactly what is wrong with it???? Maybe I'd better read up on it. sigh

Maya,
I haven't watched any TV in over two years, so I didn't get a chance to
see this. However, you sure do have my attention now and I have questions!
lol

First, what organization is responsible for the ad? Next, are all of
the questions near the end of your post from the ad or are some of them your
own? I'd LOVE to hear that the ad showed folks actually questioning some of
the garbage they're being fed. :O)

Peace,
Gman

Well I must say I'm surprised about you not watching any TV. I can't say I blame you. I mostly watch the home shows and the food network. They have been running these ads quite a lot lately. I will have to catch one and check to see what organization is responsible for them. These are my questions "They sure have come up with a good one don't you think?  Exactly what is wrong with it???? Maybe I'd better read up on it. sigh" .  It's quite an effective commercial. The person who is questioning it... never comes up with any reasons why it's not good for you either.  They only say... "well, you know what they say about it". I don't think that was very cool of the ad people. I don't think I buy anything that is high fructose... but I'll check the ingredients on a couple things. I pretty much feel like the person who didn't know why it wasn't good for you. SIGH! hahaha. But I do remember you mentioning it.

If the info is spoon fed, it won't have the same effect as if people go
learn about it themselves. And if they don't find the info for themselves,
it won't have the same impact. It sounds like the ad is designed
specifically to get enough folks to go find out why for themselves. If they
can get enough folks to do that, they'll tell two friends, and so on, and
...

If you haven't already looked through your usual stock of foods for HFCS,
you're likely in for a serious shock when you realize just how much of this
crud you and your loved ones have been injesting. Stuff that you'd never
consider like most bread even have it as a main ingredient. If it's in full
loaves of bread, I guarantee you that it's also all through the breading
used for other foods like fish sticks, breaded chicken, etc..

Thanks for the head's up and please let me know if you learn more about this
ad (or anything else, for that matter). :O)

Wow!!! I had no idea it was in so many things.... I'll really check now!!! I don't buy much prepared food, but I do buy bread and never read the ingredients except the big bold signs that say how many grains and whole wheat. hahaha.

I think I gave you the wrong idea about the ad. When the person says it's made from corn and safe... the other person accepts what is being offered. They sort of make the other person feel foolish for refusing it at first just because it's HFCS.  I think in one ad it's a Popsicle that is being offered and the other one is juice.

K...off to check labels. SIGH!

Ah, yes. I was thinking it was an organization trying to make people aware
that it's everywhere and that they should look into things a lot closer than
they have. I'll accept the blame for the misunderstanding as it's a dream
of mine to wake folks up to the stuff they're accepting as pure fact without
even bothering to think.

I love your sig program, by the way. lol
