culture of mankind?
if yes, site some examples [at least2]

example:
"internet marriages"
in the future internet II interracial marraiges
made possible with the aide of modern communications which involve the
church and goverment allowing interracial and intercontental
marriages.

* 1
* 2
* It was predicted and anticipated that most appliances and gadgets
must connected with the Internet IIm such as : radio, telephone,
cellular phone, surviellance cam system, alarm system, and etc.
including equipment found in the hospital, offices, aviation and
navigation.

What you think about the word personal secrecy? security?,
what about human rights?

As intenet 2 woth a long discussion of IT groups, specialist and etc,
there are some aspects of the system are truly advantage.

These are medical technologies, automation industry and
entertainment. In what aspects of medical technology where the
internet 2 is more usefull ?

NET ETIQUETTE SOCIAL ISSUES

In modern days, communications across the globe is made possible by
internet, not only with texts but a rich multimedia by which both ends
can recieve and send pictures, movies and audio in live streaming.

Give some points of view regarding internet etiquette.. 10pts

* I need your opinion.

In some countries like Canada, most of people female or male,
single or maried, matured, adult or young are now grouped themselves
into naturists, Naturist means being nude all the time anywhere, or
being nude in the designated areas in their land. With thier
activities, being nude is accepted to thier culture and being nude is
an art and love of thier body. Naturists group is now growing larger
and uses internet to invite some other foreign countries to join with
them, they post thier pictures, activities, and etc., so that gain
attention from the net browser, they even use the internet ads for
they nudist activities.

What would be your opinion? Are you interested to join them? or just
watching them? What are the benifits of being a part of them?

note: this is a graded reaction, be careful!!!

What are the development of Internet II?

Internet 2 is the process of looking ahead to tomorrow to move the technology that powers the Internet into the next generation. A consortium of more than 207 universities working together with various Internet technology groups and associations are taking part in the Internet 2 project through which they hope to take advantage of the increased prevalence of high speed broadband Internet and wireless capabilities to produce a new and more powerful network. In an effort to speed up the process of unveiling Internet 2, the universities and Internet technology companies are collaborating on points like middleware, initiatives, applications, engineering and partnerships

What are the advantage of Internet 2?

The advantage of the internet are numerous. It can replace having so many books and papers that take up space and things are much easier to find with a computer.

Is the internet 2 ends-up the tribal culture and change social culture of mankind?

American society as a whole, and politics in particular, has become considerably ruder, cruder, and more paranoid than it used to be. Many factors have contributed to this latest round of cultural degeneration, but I think the Internet deserves to get more than a smidgen of the blame — and that’s a heck of a thing to say for a guy who is on the net incessantly because he makes a living as a professional blogger.

As a cultural studies graduate I have found 'culture' to be something that both defines and shares knowledge and exchange. Culture is all around us, in us and about us all in the same. It gives us a definition of 'other' in which we understand our own part in the fabric of society, we can start to see the coloured weave in the canvas of the universe, which displays that heritage and the unique history that we bring to the bigger picture. I think we all loose faith if we try to define a 'right' or 'wrong' within Culture as the celebration of a diverse and vibrant collective enables use to display a legacy that many before us have tried to achieve through war, suffering and strife. A world where we have freedom albeit clashing with issues such as power, money and greed but yet for all these, culture spurns a sub culture and tries to balance the scheme back out.

INTERNET II (FINAL EXAM)

What are the developments of Internet II?

Internet2 is a collaboration among more than 100 U.S. universities to develop networking and advanced applications for learning and research. Since much teaching, learning, and collaborative research may require real-time multimedia and high-bandwidth interconnection, a major aspect of Internet2 is adding sufficient network infrastructure to support such applications. But Internet2 also intends to investigate and develop new ways to use the Internet and the Internet2 infrastructure for its educational purposes. Although Internet2 is not envisioned as a future replacement for the Internet, its organizers hope to share their developments with other networks, including the Internet. Internet2 will include and further develop the      National Science Foundation's very high-speed Backbone Network Service (vBNS)  that currently interconnects research supercomputer centers in the U.S. The involved institutions plan to continue using the existing Internet for "ordinary" services such as e-mail, personal Web access, and newsgroups.

Internet2 collaborators plan to use Quality-of-Service (QoS) tools so that participants can reserve and use bandwidth for special events or in certain time periods. Here are some possibilities envisioned by Internet2:

  1. Distributed learning module
  2. New ways to envision and retrieve information
  3. Virtual environment sharing
  4. Virtual laboratory

What is the advantages of Internet II?
  • Advantage of economies of scale, leveraging Level 3's next-generation optical infrastructure and capital investments
  • Extends capacity upgrades and bandwidth flexibility through Infinera's leading-edge optical platform and Ciena's multiservice optical switch capabilities
  • Short-term and long-term dedicated circuits for individual and institutional capacity needs
  • Dynamic circuit provisioning within seconds and, in the future, will provide advance reservations of circuits to support an even broader range of applications and research
  • Static wave provisioning in 50 Mbps increment sub-wavelength services to multiple 10 Gbps wavelengths to allow connectors to more efficiently allocate bandwidth
  • Dense wavelength division multiplexing capabilities to build separate logical networks over the same fiber facility
Initial Deployment: 100 Gbps of capacity along the entire network footprint

Future Capacity: Potential migration to 40 Gbps and 100 Gbps interfaces

Wavelength Scalability: Unlimited availability of additional wavelengths without the requirement for large capital

expenditures

Reliability: Carrier-class standard agreement for the underlying network infrastructure

Flexibility: Support for sub-wavelength (50 Mbps increments) dynamic provisioning across every wave on the network backbone for better bandwidth allocation

Community Control: Provisioning and switching of wavelengths and subchannels

Is the Internet II ends-up the tribal culture and change socialculture of mankind?

YES, example of this are:
marriages "Internet dating" - Internet users have clicked their way to love, so says the Pew Internet and American Life Project. Some entered long-term relationships after linking up in cyberspace, and some even made their way down the aisle. There's no formal data, but some lawyers say they are seeing more of these clients show up on their doorsteps. Online-dating-related splits started picking up at his practice about five years ago. Spevak estimates that on average, one out of four or five of his firm's divorce cases stem from online dating.Compatibility and online dating expert there's no statistical research that suggests the success rate for online marriages is any different from that of conventional matchmaking.

What you think about the word personal secrecy?

A key-establishment protocol, used to secure VPN communication. If one encryption key is compromised only data encrypted by that specific key is compromised. For perfect forward secrecy (PFS) to exist the key used to protect transmission of data must not be used to derive any additional keys.

Security?

Just key in PASSWORD, it's a cyberworld and protecting information is the at the heart of the trust people put on information gleaned from computers. You wouldn't leave your wallet lying about or leave your car unlocked, but people-- often smart people-- leave their computers unsecured. People should avoid suspicious e-mail with attachments from anyone. A virus can often come from a trusted source that was infected. Passwords are the first line of defense for computer users. Computer users should have a "strong" password that does not contain any word found in a dictionary or used normal conversation. Reversing a word or name can still be easily cracked. A strong password should also contain a mix of numbers, upper and lower-case letter and special characters with a minimum of seven characters. 'Ktr#iQ" is an example of a strong password.

what about human rights?

Alan Davidson is Senior Policy Counsel and the head of U.S. public policy for Google. Alan opened Google's Washington, DC public policy and government relations office in 2005, and has been deeply involved in the company's efforts on network neutrality, privacy, content regulation, and intellectual property policy.

Prior to joining Google, Alan was Associate Director of the Center for Democracy and Technology, a public interest group promoting civil liberties and human rights online. He has testified before Congress, written, and spoken widely on privacy, free speech, encryption, and copyright online. Alan is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University's program in Communications, Culture, and Technology, teaching a graduate seminar on Internet architecture and public policy. In 2004 he was a Visiting Scholar in MIT's Program on Science, Technology, and Society.

In what aspects of medical technology where the internet 2 is more useful?

The quality of information on the internet is extremely variable, limiting its use as a serious information source.

A possible solution may be self labelling of medical information by web authors in combination with a systematised critical appraisal of health related information by users and third parties using a validated standard core vocabulary.

Labelling and filtering technologies such as PICS (platform for internet content selection) could supply professionals and consumers with labels to help them separate valuable health information from dubious information .

Doctors, medical societies, and associations could critically appraise internet information and act as decentralised "label services" to rate the value and trustworthiness of information by putting electronic evaluative and descriptive "tags" on it.

Indirect "cybermetric" indicators of quality determined by computer programs could complement human peer review.

NET ETIQUETTE SOCIAL ISSUES

My opinion on this:

The Internet can be described as a community of over 40 million individuals as well as a giant technical phenomenon. This contrast, and the combined social and technical history encompassing the last 27 years of Internet growth lends itself to a discussion of etiquette on the Internet.

The Internet is composed of a variety of distinct services which may be grouped into three main types: text, real time, and hypertext. Text based services include: electronic mail ("e-mail"), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Gopher, Telnet and Usenet. Real time services, where participants are interacting with one or more persons at the same time, include Internet Relay Chat (IRC), Multi User Dungeon or Dimension games (MUDs), Talk, Phone, C-U-See-Me and more. The only hypertext, or linked, system is the World Wide Web service of the Internet. Like neighborhoods within a larger community, specific services and types are experienced differently so each have unique (user) etiquette issues.

"Proper" etiquette which may be applied to the use of e-mail would include: to respect confidentiality; don't "flame" (to send an inflammatory or injurious message); don't use anonymous remailers (unless whistle blowing); and consider the presentation of message. The latter would include evaluation of the physical appearance of the message to be sent. Consider starting with a blank line; don't shout (all caps); and try to be aware of cultural differences or other issues that may affect the reader adversely in this international arena. Also remember that in this unique form of communication, emotions are not transmitted to the reader unless explicitly inserted into the message by the sender. Minimize the transmission of hoax and/or junk mail.

What would be your opinion? Are you interested to join them? or just
watching them?  What are the benefits of being a part of them?

My own opinion about nude people is that they have their own culture or understanding about being nude. Whether we like or not we should respect them because everyone of us have their own tribe's or culture and possible they belong to naturist culture.

No!

The benefits of being part of them is that they show's freedom of doing all things and to show.
