When's 10.48?

It looks like we're not getting a release every six months (as 10.47 was last October), so I was just wondering what the prospects are for 10.48?

I am the maintainer of rpl, a text search-and-replace utility that I recently rewrote to use PCRE2. I have a problem in that I need a bug fix to 10.47 which is merged for 10.48.

I got lucky with distro schedules: both Ubuntu 26.04 nor Debian trixie shipped with 10.46, which works for me; but by now the distros have picked up 10.47; so rpl is already broken in brew, for example, and I'd like to know whether this will be fixed soon (by 10.48 being released), or whether I have to make Painful Choices.

Hi,

I think Nicholas is currently AFK. From a Debian point of view, we still
have 10.46 everywhere except experimental because while I was working on
10.47 packaging (which got complicated by a complaint that symbol
versioning required a soname bump, I think incorrectly[0]), you filed
the Debian bug about rpl incompatibility[1].

Ideally, I'd like a 10.48 RC that I can test-build all of the
dependencies in Debian against (debusine lets you do that now), which
would be a solid basis for a 10.48 release that could then go into
debian (hopefully in time for the next "forky" release).
