Dear Service Co Network,
The Gippsland Primary Care Partnerships are excited to announce the release of the Gippsland Guide to becoming a Health Literate Organisation.
Why is it important to be a health literate organisation?
· To support consumers to manage their own health effectively
· To support safe and effective use of primary health resources
· Organisational health literacy will result in improved health outcomes for clients
Please find attached an electronic copy of the guide. The Guide has been developed specifically to align with the accreditation standards of health services across the Gippsland Region. This Guide will support member organisations to become Health Literate Organisations, and includes best practice tools and resources to support your organisation in its journey to becoming more health literate.
To learn more about the Guide please watch this short video.
