US Friends of MAB has been in Brazil Since July 5th

Dear family, friends and acquaintances,

US Friends of MAB (the Movement of People Affected by Dams in Brazil) have been in the country since July 5th 

and have visited three states in the country, Sao Paulo, Minas Gerais and Para. MAB has been organizing people affected by the construction of hydro-electric dams throughout the country for over twenty years. During our stay we have visited communities in the three states both rural and urban to learn of their struggles and to share the struggles of people in the US. We return to the states soon but we wanted to share some of what we experienced the first two weeks. We will put together photos and more details of the entire trip when we return home. For now enjoy the two attached documents.
