Well this thank you note has taken a while! I guess I have been 'coming down' from achieving my first '600'.
I am so aware that others helped me to the finish. Over the last 6 years I have received advice and support from Kathy Twitchell, Vickie Backman, Tom & Bobbie, Greg & Lisa, Terry Hutt, Roger Prasser and others. (Sorry to miss some - can't remember everyone!)
During the ride Lisa and Michelle helped by drafting me for a while on the first loop & were complimentary & supportive when we met up during the 3rd loop. Ruth & Kevin provided their usual friendly control stocked with warm encouragement & good food. Terry organized magnificently and supported me especially. He was 'at call' on the phone to help me when I got lost at some crazy hour!
Mel complimented me, I found his words encouraging, at the secret control.
But the most helpful of all, on the day, was Nick Matyas who connected with me at the control at start of Timotea Canyon descent and stayed with me then until the finish. He displayed typical randonneuring spirit combined with encouragement and companionship over many miles when he could have easily gone on to a better time for himself. He was as thrilled as I was at me completing the ride - my first 600.
