We plan on running the Pinnacles Traveler 600k again this year.  It's a great route and if we get typical winds riders have said it's one one the easiest 600k's. I'm still working on the logistics which is dependent on the number of riders and volunteers we get. If you are interested in doing the event please fill out the Pinnacles Traveler interest survey.

Also please check out the full SLO Rando schedule including the first Rouleur Week.

To stay up to date on what is happening in the SLO region please join the SLORando Google Group.

Thanks

The general registration for the Pinnacles Traveler 600k is now open, you can register for this brevet via the normal form.

There are spots for 15 additional participants at this point. If we run out of slots then I will start a waitlist as we usually have a few folks who have to cancel.

Drop Bags

We will have transportation of drop bags but it will be strictly limited to 20lbs due to capacity constraints. I know some rides say this and then don't weigh the bags, we will weigh each bag and there will be no transportation for overweight bags with no exception.  If this doesn't work for you either find a different method for your bag transport or don't register for the ride.

Route

The route will be similar to previous years in that it hopefully will do the more traditional route south of Solvang but does incorporate the start location in South San Jose as well as a new end location at the Courtyard hotel in Oxnard. Preliminary plan - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/42533147

Hotels

We are using the same hotels for the start (South San Jose) and overnight (Santa Maria) with the addition of a finish hotel in Oxnard. You can choose different hotels to stay at just realize that your drop bags will be at the listed hotels. I have arranged for group discounts at the three hotels.

Support

We plan to have sweeps for most of the course but as with any SLO Randonneur events we do expect self sufficiency as the distances to sweep are quite long so help may be hours away.

As with previous years we will have a fully supported rest stop at the Peach Tree control including water, other drinks and snack food. We will have hot food available at the overnight control in Santa Maria at the Fairfield hotel and snacks at the finish in Oxnard.
