Permanents on eBrevet app

Hi all, I was hoping to test out the eBrevet app on my next perm ride, but am unable to get it to load. I read through the instructions online, but couldn't find a solution. I also tried putting a link to the RWGPS in "Custom Event Data URL", but it also asks for a "Custom Secret", which I think is a password for the event? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You couldn't load the eBrevet app, or you couldn't see the specific ride?

Ah, I read your post more carefully. Now I understand the problem.

The eBrevet app is only set up for mass start events.  It cannot be used for permanents.

I see. Thanks Kerin. Glad you were able to decipher my vague message! I'll just have to wait until the Solstice ride to try eBrevet out.

Hi Kerin,

On my eBrevet app, there is the possibility to use eBrevet for perms. See attached image. But, in order to use eBrevet on any event, the specific RWGPS file must have the required meta data included in the file. In my experience, this data gets automatically removed from the approved route's data. Without this meta data, eBrevet cannot be used.

If you have further questions, you should contact Chris Nadovich, the app's creator.
