I'm having Garmin problems. I download the route as per usual. Then when I ride this message shows up: Route calculation error. Maps do not have routable roads in this area. When I touch the message it goes, to reappear again soon!

Been in touch with Garmin but still cannot solve problem.  

Anyone else had this problem?

I can use the Garmin but it is a real pain working around this message all the time.

Send us the link to the route.

We can try to load on our Garmin to see if we can duplicate the problem or at least look at the route.

Is it a route created with ridewithgps?

Pete,

Not only the link, but what specific format are you using? FIT, TCX Course, GPX Track, ...? (I'm assuming it's and RWGPS file. If not... IDK. Strava? Oy!)

I get this message occasionally, but only when I'm off course, or if I'm not getting good GPS signal. 

Other questions:

 - What model of Garmin unit?

 - What GPS setting? GPS only, or GPS + GLONASS, or GPS + GALILEO?

Hello,

I have a similar problem with my Edge 830 that I recently bought. I load TCX files. Recently it seems at the start of the ride when I load the route I get, "Route Calculation Error", even on routes I loaded a while back before this error started showing up. On the Borrego 600k last week the error popped up mid-ride. If I dismiss this message the route keeps tracking and cuing, as normal, but it is annoying and a little 'scary' to get the message. It sounds like you solved the problem by 'resetting'- what does that mean? Did you reset to factory defaults, or some other type of reset?
