I'm getting the hankering to actually watch a little TV for a change.
I haven't really watched any show except Survivor and Terminator
season I for like the past 5 years.

Here is what I'm thinking:
Lost
Heroes
Terminator season 2
Battle Star

Any other idea? Which one should I pick (I only have time for one).

Life on Mars

I'm watching Lie to Me which is pretty cool but.. meh.

A good one I'm hearing about from my friends is Leverage

Ok on what you have on your list my comments:

Lost is a must see. If you're like some people you might want to give
up part way through Season 2 as some people found it lacking after
Season 1. I very much enjoyed it though! Season 3 and 4 are both good.
Season 5 is shaping into being on the best.

Heroes I would say Season 1 is a must see for anyone who likes
superhero themes. This one is different enough from old formula
superhero movies/shows to set itself apart. After Season 1 it's up to
you. I find them to still be enjoyable but just not up to same level
as Season 1.

BSG (I'm assuming the new SciFi series not old classic) The wife and I
both really enjoy this show. First season is superb. If you're
expecting the old show at all just go ahead and remove that from your
mind. I think I'm most of the way through season 3 right now. Haven't
picked up Season 4 yet and haven't seen any of the final season yet.

Outside of these if you like math, hmm yeah maybe it's just me, try
watching Numb3rs. Also, Jericho is worth a watch as well. Hmm can't
think of much else.

My suggestion is if you don't have Netflix get it so you can see all
these shows on DVD. That's what I've been doing with TV shows that I
never saw but was somewhat interested in.

We like numb3rs as well :)

My wife is a TV addict and Tivo's boatloads of shows. The ones I
watch are Terminator, Numb3rs, The Closer, and Heroes. (And the
Simpsons and Clone Wars.) Nicole watches the CSIs as well and I was
up to date on the CSI Vegas for a while but fell behind. She loves
Lost and 24 but I've only watched segments of each. I think they are
decent, I'd just rather do something else.

And we tried BSG but gave up after 2-3 episodes of the first season, I
just didn't get into it. Perhaps too nostalgic for the old days :)
But I love the board game.

Lost is a 100% must. And stick with it. There are a few dips in a
couple of the seasons, but an incredible show throughout.

I picked up season 1 of Heroes at Frys for $9.99 on HDDVD (yes, I was
an 'early adopter').

We are on episode #4, and we love it so far. It's REALLY good.

Lost is still in our Nexflix queue but it's buried underneath
countless movies staring little kids and talking animals. My dad
always said "any move staring a little kid or a talking animal is
crap". I have to pretty much agree with that.

I have Heroes 1&2 and LOST seasons 1-4 that I could loan out if you need them sooner than Netflix can deliver.

Most everything on this list is a serious drama... if you're in the
mood for a bit of comedy I don't think you can beat Scrubs. 1/2 hour
episodes, so they go by quickly and are all hilarious. I have to say,
we've sat down to watch one or two and ended up watching 6-7.

Netflix has 'em all.

Good times.
