PxWeb 2023 v1 - redirects for style sheets

Hi all, 

I am troubleshooting an error we have had today with PxWeb 2023 v1, and I am trying to discern wether the problems we have are related to the application itself or the web server running the application. 

For some reason, all requests to the style sheets at
{BaseURL}/Resources/Styles/{name-of-style-sheet}
returned HTTP302 without any content found after being redirected to
/{BaseUrl}Login.aspx?ReturnUrl={BaseUrl}%2FStyles%2F{name-of-style-sheet}"

I hope the placeholders in my URL:s makes sense. You can still access the page, and the content at the base url still shows, but without any styling. 

My working hypothesis is that this redirect is expected behaviour in the application, but  the reason the request is being redirected in the first place are issues with the server... 

Has anyone experienced something similar, and can someone confirm that these types of redirects are expected behaviour?

Hi,

Just some questions to start the conversation … my 10cent

Have you had already a successfully installation of PxWeb before this?
Have you tried running PxWeb with default settings? Out of the box settings?
This is an easy test to perform!
Have you edited and run the set-rights.bat

Are you installing it in a clean server?
Or is it a sever running other old stuff too?
What version of Windows server do you use?
Have you customized the PxWeb in any way?
Why are you installing the 2023v1 version when there is an 2025v1 version out?
Have you edited the web.config file?
Check the content of the web.config file “authentication configuration” case 1 and 2

Hi David!

My guess is that your site has some authentication going on. That is why you get a 302 response to the login page.
