Security cookie causes error in compact view

Hello,

IT team tell me to report this error and seek for solutions here. I quote, as I am not IT and don't understand it:

"We're migrating server technology, and we're having a problem: The Compact view option isn't working because they've set the HttpOnly security cookie to prevent cross-site scripting (XSS). The Secure HttpOnly code prohibits JavaScript from accessing cookies, which is why it doesn't work. Is there a coded alternative that can work around this problem?"
