Jess, It's not clear to me if you are getting an actual error message. That would be important to know.
But my guess is that your initialization file is corrupt. Uninstalling and reinstalling is not necessarily going to fix this (that depends on exactly how you went about it). But in general, if things go fundamentally wrong where it was working before, uninstalling and reinstalling is unlikely to help. If at this point you have created two or more copies of PC-ORD on your computer, this can cause lots of different and unpredictable problems. You can check for this by doing a global search on your computer for pcord7.exe. If you find more than one folder with the executable files you need to delete all but one.
To fix corrupt initialization files, you will need to delete them. There is no harm in trying this except that PC-ORD will "forget" your previously selected options.
Steps:
- Open PC-ORD
- Tools - view application data folder
- Leave that folder open but close PC-ORD.
-In the app data folder, delete pcord7.ini and pcord7.opt
- Restart PC-ORD.
